Features of WHX worm gear reducer

The WHX worm gear reducer conforms to the ministerial standard JB2318-79. The circular arc cylindrical worm drive, also known as the curved surface cylindrical worm drive, has a convex concave conjugate tooth profile, in which the worm is concave, the worm gear is convex, and the worm profile is circular arc, code named ZC worm.

WHX worm gear reducer has the characteristics of large bearing capacity, high transmission efficiency, large output torque, stable operation, long service life, small size, etc. It is widely used in metallurgy, mining, hoisting, chemical industry, construction and other industries, and its working environment is - 40 ℃~+40 ℃. The number of revolutions of the input shaft is not more than 1500 rpm, and the high-speed shaft can run forward and backward.

WHX worm gear reducer has 13 kinds of center distance: 42, 65, 80, 100, 120, 125, 150, 160, 180, 200, 210, 250, 280, 300, 320, 360, 400, 420, 450, 500.

The assembly form of WHX worm gear reducer is represented by Roman numerals I, II, III..., and those with fans are represented by "F".

Use and maintenance of worm gear reducer

1. Remove the worm gear reducer assembly

Clean and deburr the parts before assembly, and check the size, geometric shape, accuracy, surface roughness, etc. according to the drawing requirements.

The mating surfaces of worm gear and shaft, bearing and shaft shall be coated with lubricating oil before being pressed in.

If the worm gear is assembled, press the worm gear ring onto the hub and fasten it.

There are two common methods to install the worm gear on the shaft: pressing assembly and heating assembly.

Install the worm gear shaft assembly into the casing, and then install the worm into the casing. Align the worm axis with the middle plane of the worm gear, and the deviation shall meet the requirements.

The assembly of bearing and shoulder, bearing and gland shall be suitable, and the rotation shall be flexible after compression.

The transmission flexibility of the assembled worm transmission mechanism shall also be checked. The required rotational torque of the worm at any position shall be basically equal.

Remove the belt cover, V-belt and pulley, remove the coupling and bolts, and lift down the motor.

Remove the bolts on both ends of the worm cover and the reducer split surface, lift the upper cover of the casing and place it on the rubber plate to prevent damage to the middle split surface, clean the upper cover, and check whether there is oil leakage at the fastening bolts.

Removing the lubrication system

Remove the worm gear locknut, use special tools to remove the worm gear, and check the engagement between the worm gear and the worm, including contact area, position, wear, etc.

Remove the oil seal, clean the case, and check the middle split surface.

2. Check worm gear and worm

If the worm gear is seriously worn, pitted or glued (adhesive tear), it can be replaced or the worm gear can be repaired and the worm can be re prepared by modifying the worm gear.

Slight gluing, pitting and some defects on the tooth surfaces of worm gear and worm can be repaired by milling, scraping and grinding after repair welding.

3. Shaft

The journal wear can be repaired by spraying, brushing and grinding after electroplating.

If the keyway on the shaft is damaged, the keyway can be reprocessed at 120 ° from the original keyway.

1. If the operating environment of NMRV reducer is lower than - 30 ℃ or higher than 60-30 ℃, oil seals made of special materials must be replaced;

2. The motor matched with the NMRV reducer must be suitable for working in the low temperature environment, and the motor power must meet the torque requirements when starting at low temperature;

3. The viscosity of lubricating oil will be higher before it is ready for use. The machine should be loaded after no-load test run to avoid equipment failure;

4. When the NMRV reducer is used for the first time, change the lubricating oil after 150-400 hours of operation, and the subsequent oil change reducer cycle is less than or equal to 4000 hours;

5. Regularly check the weight and quality of the oil, keep enough lubricating oil, and timely replace the oil mixed with impurities or deteriorated. The operating factor of NMRV reducer depends on the actual operating environment. When selecting an appropriate service factor, you must consider the nature of the load at the output end, the daily operation time, the starting frequency, and other factors.
